What a more fitting way to officially kick off our 2012 year than with a newborn shoot! I knew I was going to love this family as soon as I spoke to mom on the phone. She called me to discuss the details of our upcoming shoot. I usually start off asking first-time moms how they are faring...are you getting any sleep? Not only did mom say that she was doing well, she said that her husband was "a really good dad and husband, he helps out a lot". C'mon, how many new moms give credit to their husbands/boyfriends? She was so calm and easy to talk to...just like her husband (which I found out at our shoot). Many times, couples tend to be opposites...a yin and yang, if you will. One member is typically more outgoing than the other, one person is more structured, etc. Not this family, both parents were calm, cool and collected.
Baby Kesan was one handsome little guy! He had a head full of beautiful, shiny hair and bright, focused eyes. He had an incredibly sweet temperment, and an extreme fondness for his pacifier. In fact, we almost staged a paci-intervention...poor little one, he had that paci ripped out of his mouth over 20 times (because I'm pretty sure mom and dad didn't want that green paci in every single photo...even though he was absolutely adorable with it in his mouth). Once he fell asleep, we zipped through those prop photos. Thanks for being so patient, mom and dad! We appreciate you driving out to us and sharing your little angel. Here's your sneak peek:
And of course, the infamous pacifier...just look how content Kesan looks!:
